Introduction

Raising Voices is completing the fifth and final year of our 2018-2022 Strategy and seek a skilled and dynamic consultant to lead an external review process. The intention of the external review is to support Raising Voices in reflection, learning and strategizing for our new five-year strategy.

Scope of Work

Raising Voices seeks a consultant for up to 12 days between 25th April and 15th May to conduct a review on the Raising Voices 2018-2022 Organizational Strategy.

The consultant will

• Develop a plan of action for the review process
• Conduct a desk review of the strategy, the organizational learning framework, annual reports, and other reporting
• Hold reflection sessions with select staff to explore accomplishments and setback
• Synthesise and analyse all learning generated from the review process, prioritizing an assessment of (1) the extent to which the overall objectives and key results were achieve, (2) the specific impacts emerging from Raising Voices work (Practice, Learning and Influencing), (3) areas where intended changes have not yet materialised, (4) key lessons learned, (5) areas of organizational strengthen and improvement, and (6) providing recommendations for future programming.
• Develop and share a draft of key findings (including case study examples) with Raising Voices via a validation exercise
• Integrate feedback and finalise report

Key Deliverables

A succinct, accessible, document (max 25 pages) with actionable suggestions for consideration during strategy development for our next 5-year strategy (2023-2027)

The consultant will be onboarded and collaborate with members of the Raising Voices Leadership Team.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of evaluations and/or learning reviews for feminist/activist organisations (including writing samples)
• Grounding in VAW/VAW prevention programming including knowledge of the global ecosystem of the fields.
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Excellent time management
