Yvette Alal is a member of the violence against women prevention team at Raising Voices. Her role is to support partner organizations using SASA! Together to prevent violence against women. Yvette has over 15 years’ experience of using social norms change approaches to prevent violence against women with a special expertise in working with government institutions such as the Uganda Police Force, the Office of the Directorate of Public Prosecution, and the Ministry of Health to develop and implement systems and protocols for preventing and responding to violence against women. Yvette has been actively involved in the development and implementation of SASA! and SASA! Together over the last decade. She graduated from Makerere University and lives and works in Kampala, Uganda.
