Tvisha is a researcher-practitioner focusing on the prevention of violence against women and children over the last decade. Previously, she was Learning Coordinator at Raising Voices in Uganda, where she worked with colleagues to support research and practice-based learning that shaped programme decisions. Since stepping back from her full-time role in 2025, she has continued working with Raising Voices and the Coalition for Good Schools as a consultant. Tvisha is deeply committed to Raising Voices' mission and has found it a nurturing space to grow her activist voice. Before joining Raising Voices, she held research posts at IPA Uganda and J-PAL South Asia, supporting randomised controlled trials evaluating IPV prevention and gender equality programs. She draws on quantitative, qualitative and participatory methods, grounded in feminist practice, and loves working alongside schools and communities from programme design all the way to scale. Tvisha holds an MSc in Economics from the London School of Economics. Tvisha now lives in London, UK, where you'll find her birdwatching, journaling or reading books in community when she's not working!
