GBV Prevention Network

Fostering a Feminist Analysis of Violence Against Women Prevention

Co-founded and coordinated by Raising Voices since 2003, the GBV Prevention Network is a vibrant space for learning, solidarity and collective activism. Our work includes:

  • Dynamic campaigns on social media
  • Hosting “Rethink and Re-energize” processes around the region
  • Supporting “Prevention Pop-Ups” with national members
  • Coordinating the regional 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence campaign
  • Celebrating and elevating feminist activists and organizations around the region


Diversity Is Our Strength. 

The Network includes individuals, organizations, academics and activists from rural and urban areas. It is community-based organizations, academic institutions, and large and small organizations and institutions. It is women, nonbinary folks and men from all walks of life using their power to confront injustice and create change.
