Through the Sexual Violence Against Children Thematic Group, Raising Voices works with like-minded organizations in Uganda to build members’ capacity on sexual violence, power analysis and how to change the social norms that perpetuate violence against children. Member organizations work to prevent and respond to violence against children, gather evidence on sexual violence and conduct policy advocacy in different spaces.
Additionally, Raising Voices helped establish Violence Against Children Prevention Centers, one-stop centers for violence against children prevention and response. The organizations support the implementation of Good School Toolkit ideas in schools and facilitate community dialogues on violence against children.
The thematic group brings together 10 organizations that work to prevent and respond to violence against children in Uganda.
