Desire Ruth is our Program Officer within the Violence Against Children Prevention Team. With a penchant for writing and interpersonal communication, she has held previous roles as a News Sub-Editor at the Daily Monitor Newspaper, Communications Assistant at Africa Freedom of Information Centre (AFIC), and staff writer at Uganda Christian University’s The Standard Newspaper. Desire holds a Master of Arts Degree in Digital Journalism from Aga Khan University, Nairobi, and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mass Communication from Uganda Christian University, Mukono. Beyond her professional endeavors, Desire finds fulfillment in traveling, window-shopping, socializing with loved ones, and conducting restaurant reviews. She draws inspiration from the profound impact of even the smallest acts of kindness and admires women who overcome obstacles to achieve success in all facets of life.
