Hi, I'm Hassan Muluusi Tinkamanyire — and fun fact: many people struggle to pin me to any specific part of Uganda. My name, my languages, my accent — they keep everyone guessing! Some say I'm from here, others say I'm from there. Truth is, I'm a little bit of everywhere, and I love it that way. I'm a Senior Technical Advisor in the Program Department at Raising Voices, where I strive to use the Good School Toolkit (GST) to turn our schools into places where every child feels safe, seen, and respected — not just in theory, but for real. Before joining Raising Voices, I was a teacher — and that's where I learned that children don't care how much you know until they know how much you care. I saw violence up close: the quiet kid, the flinching child, the one who stopped asking questions. That experience taught me that teachers need practical tools, not theory — and that's exactly what the Toolkit delivers. What I'm most proud of? I started working on the Good School Toolkit as an early adopter and have grown with it through every adaptation — from primary to secondary, to GST Agile, and now into Uganda's lower primary curriculum. We're building kindness into the very first years of school, and that feels like planting a forest, one seed at a time. Outside work, my greatest joy is playing and talking with my children — truly listening, belly-laughing, and letting them lead. They remind me daily that every child deserves to be heard, taken seriously, and loved — not because they've earned it, but because they exist. That's not just my inspiration; it's my why.
